The marriage of Catholics, even if only one party is baptized, is governed not only by divine law but also by canon law, without prejudice to the competence of the civil authority in respect of the merely civil effects of the marriage. Canon 1059
The marriage covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of their whole life, and which of its own very nature is ordered to the well-being of the spouses and to the procreation and upbringing of children, has, between the baptized, been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament. Canon 1055 § 1
The marriage of Catholics, even if only one party is baptized, is governed not only by divine law but also by canon law, without prejudice to the competence of the civil authority in respect of the merely civil effects of the marriage. Canon 1059
The essential properties of marriage are unity and indissolubility; in Christian marriage, they acquire a distinctive firmness by reason of the sacrament. Canon 1056
From a valid marriage arises a bond between the spouses which by its very nature is perpetual and exclusive; furthermore, in a Christian marriage, the spouses are strengthened and, as it were, consecrated for the duties and the dignity of their state by a special sacrament. CCC 1638

You may have married outside the Church for various reasons. If a marriage is between two Catholics, but the ceremony took place outside the church, without a priest and without proper preparation, please contact Fr. Sengole, we will do what is needed to validly bless the wedding in the church, either private or public. It all takes just a phone call or let Fr. Sengole know by other means of communication.
Is God calling you to be a priest or a deacon?
The Ministry of a priestFrom the very beginning of the Church there have been men and women who have renounced the great good of marriage to follow the Lamb wherever he goes, to be intent on the things of the Lord, to seek to please him, and to go out to meet the Bridegroom who is coming. Christ himself has invited certain persons to follow him in this way of life, of which he remains the model.
